At Aidaway Occupational Therapy, we provide engaging Occupational Therapy Services to clients, typically from 16 years and above, in Melbourne and surrounding areas.

Our experienced therapists will either visit you at home or via a telehealth conference in your home, where you feel most comfortable while we support you to live your best life. Currently, we have clients both within Victoria and interstate.

Whether it’s gaining independence, learning new life skills, or improving your safety and security at home – we can support you.

Our Occupational therapists are dedicated to taking a client-centered approach to ensure optimal outcomes for their clients. Currently, we have four Occupational therapists and an allied health assistant as primary clinicians.

As Occupational therapists within collective experience from an array of settings, we focus on promoting health and well-being by enabling people to participate in everyday occupations of life, such as self-care, productivity, and leisure activities. Intervention is undertaken through various domains and primarily centers addressing fundamental clinical barriers so that functional outcomes become optimally achieved/managed.

Our approach is rooted in the belief that engagement in meaningful and purposeful activities contributes to a person’s overall health and satisfaction.

Through our range of services and programs, we empower individuals to enhance their physical and mental well-being.

Our team, which includes occupational therapists, an allied health assistant and support staff, work collaboratively to provide personalized care and support. The team have flexibility in their work, are well-connected with one another and have a collective passion for helping others.

We understand that each individual is unique, and we tailor our interventions and strategies to meet ones specific needs and goals.

We currently have the capacity for new referrals however waiting times may vary subject to availability, therapist preferences, clinical needs and location of service.

Experience and knowledge

Our high levels of experience, knowledge and access to in-house resources all contribute a well-rounded service. At Aidaway, we understand that continuous learning is essential and we strive to ensure treatment centres have evidence-based practice. We are also open to acknowledging when a referral is not suited to our experience. Specific to the business, all of our therapists have 2-10+ years of experience in a range of clinical settings. Our therapists collaborate regularly to share experience and knowledge to one another.

Aidaway OT has a reputation within the industry whereby our experience, willingness to delve into complexity and knowledge of an array of schemes, aligns to an array of services being relevant. It is not uncommon as an example, for Alana (principal OT) to be contacted to assist in problem solving cases of clinical complexity.

Convenience

We offer services to your door and are flexible with appointment times. Where able, we will aim to minimize travel costs by pooling travel between clients. We strive to minimize travel costs, with this capped at 30 minutes as much as able.

Resources to you

We understand that having access to ongoing resources throughout and post-treatment is invaluable. Pending the nature of the intervention, you will be provided with resources to assist with treatment.

Costs

Our service is well-connected to mainstream funding bodies to assist with costs. We strive to offer cost-efficient services where able. Schemes we work with are listed under ‘Funding’. As a holistic approach, we strive to minimize costs to clients. For example, under NDIS we often strive to onboard our allied health assistant to apply interventions, and attempt to run our interventions with a support person/worker as much as able to share knowledge and direction whilst minimizing costs.
